The PPNS is the investigation division of the IP office. It conducted a raid in the city of Bandung 2 weeks ago and seized
fake stationery totalling 832,752 pencils and 54,000 sharpeners. The
total value of the seizure is approximately 270,000 USD. The PPNS was established many years ago but never properly formed. In July 2011 they finally got budget and manpower and have conducted some 60+ raids in the last 12 months. This is presumably one of the largest they have done. Given how hard enforcement has become in Indonesia this is encouraging.
