Indonesia Toyota trademark win

On 25th August Toyota won a trademark dispute in the Central Jakarta Commercial Court against local businessman Lauw Ie Bing. The court cancelled his trademark for Toyoda, registered for batteries and battery accessories, holding that Toyota is a famous trademark and that the mark Toyoda was confusingly similar and so must have been registered in bad faith.
